The History of Men's Corsets

Corsets for men have a history as military armor. They were worn by medieval horsemen to protect the spine and they're adopted by bikers today for the same reason.

Male corsets came into fashion in the 1789 French Revolution with followers of utopian philosopher and economist, Count Claude Henri de Saint-Simon because they were impossible to lace alone and helping one another tighten the ties symbolised the humanitarian ideals of the Saint-Simonien movement.

Modern tactical corsets are the opposite: Self-adjustable quick release buckles make laces and their attendent hassle obsolete, rendering the corsetee quite self-reliant and well equipped with a load of custom pouches.

The History of Men's Tactical Corsets

Tactical Corsets were conceived of by a man named Alex to suit men's tactical vests to women, but he soon realized that his Tactical Corset's glamouflage allowed it to be worn much more frequently than his overt Blackhawk vest.
